Junior (2007-08) -- Schwab helped Marquette to its first tournament victory in nearly two years when he finished ninth with a one-over par 207 (73-65-69) at the Xavier Invitational October 1-2, 2007. It was the best individual finish of his career and his 207 was the third-lowest 54-hole total by a Golden Eagles this season. Additionally, Schwab's second-round 65 at Xavier was the lowest round for MU this season, until it was matched by Mike Bielawski at the Pacific Invitational. In April, Schwab helped Marquette win its first BIG EAST Championship in any team sport and the golf program's first conference championship. Schwab was four-under par through seven holes on the final round providing MU with a sizeable cushion and 15-stroke lead over defending champion Louisville, who the Golden Eagles eventually defeated by two strokes. Head coach Tim Grogan called Schwab's impressive third-round start as one of the key's to MU's championship run. Schwab finished the final round at plus-one 73. Schwab's career scoring average of 76.04 ranks ninth all-time at MU. He has played in all but two tournaments (Pinehurst Intercollegiate and Carter Plantation Intercollegiate) this season and carries a 76.04 scoring average. He has carded par or better three times in 2007-08 and a total of seven times in his career. During the summer, Schwab won the WSGA Match Play Championship, held June 10-12 in Green Lake, Wis. Sophomore (2006-07) -- Playing in every tournament in his first full season at Marquette, Schwab posted a 75.97 scoring average. He made his Marquette debut in the Rich Harvest Farms Intercollegiate. After carding a 212 with a final-round 68 at The McLaughlin, he carded a season best 210 at the Xavier Intercollegiate. In that event, he opened and closed the tournament with 68s to finish 12th. He closed the season with a 220 at the BIG EAST Tournament. Freshman (2006) -- Schwab did not play in his one semester at Marquette as a freshman. Prior to Marquette -- Schwab played one semester at Edgewood College in Madison, Wis., where he led the team to a Lake Michigan Conference title, winning medalist honors. At Wanaukee High School, he was a member of the 2005 Badger North Conference Championship Team. He placed second at the WIAA state meet in 2005 and also won the WSGA State Junior Championship that season. He won seven letters in high school, winning four in golf and three in ice hockey.
